1. Tempio is centrally located in Northern Sardinia...  It's very easy to reach Sardinia's 3 Northern Coasts from Tempio.  Getting to Costa Smeralda, the pretty islands of La Maddalena and Caprera, touristy Santa Teresa di Gallura, Costa Paradiso, Castelsardo, Stintino, Alghero (and the nearby Grotte di Nettuno) takes about an hour;
2. Tempio is 8 Km from Mount Limbara, one of Sardinia's highest mountains.  The summit of Mount Limbara can easily be reached by car, and once there you'll find - along with the gorgeous panorama and lots of fresh air - beautiful wind-moulded granite sculptures, a rich flora (Sequoia trees coexist with typical Mediterranean bushes), a church and a statue dedicated to the "Madonna della Neve," and - last but not least - numerous fresh-water springs; on Mount Limbara it will be great fun for you to go on a horseback ride or to bicycle your way up to the top;
3. Tempio has a  lovely historical center (dating back to 1600-1800) with many churches, granite-paved "vias," fountains, etc;
4. Those of you who need to "talk business" will be glad to know Tempio has a modern and efficient  Conference Hall;
5. The shaded Rinaggiu springs offer diuretic water that is known throughout Sardinia for its therapeutic properties;
6. Neighbouring Tempio (within 9 Kms), there are several charming towns you need to visit if you want to get in touch with the "heart" of Sardinia: Nuchis, Luras (home to huge olive trees experts consider to be about 2000 years old), Calangianus (one of Italy's most productive - and therefore wealthiest - towns), Aggius (situated in the midst of jagged granite mountains), and hill-top Bortigiadas;
7. Tempio is close to many ports and airports: Olbia, Golfo Aranci, Palau, Porto Torres, Alghero are all a short distance from Tempio (ranging from 46 to 100 Kms);
8. Tempio's countryside is home to a great variety of mushrooms it will be fun for you to go pick in the Fall...  However, we recommend only mushroom-experts get into this activity: as there are poisonous species, it can be quite dangerous;
9. Every year in Tempio there is a lively 6-day-Carnival, during which the whole city is turned into party grounds; the Carnival is so well loved by the locals that it now even has a summer-version, which takes place in August; another great event is the yearly Folk Festival, during which groups from all over the World perform
   in the local municipal "Piazza";
10. Lastly, Tempio is the perfect spot for your vacation, if you wish
    to get to know the Sardinian inland.  Hop on the Little Green
    Train - which takes you from Tempio to Palau.
